"NTL IP address - why are they all the same!?"

If you are on ntl, go to www.whatismyip.com and tell me if it is the same as mine and 4 elses who i have asked on ntl.

62.254.0.30 is what i and 4 others got. This is very odd.

Can you please test and tell me if its the same.

And this is happening on forums as well. so they think i am spamming coz i have the same ip as one of my friends.

Yes, every other wedsite, seems to give me a differant ending such as .34 or .16, but the sites give the same to who ever is on ntl so mine and my friends apear to be the same when we look ont he differant websites

NTL adresses are allocated dynamically, so they change each time you log on.

Try that and see if it is still the same.

I think the fact that 4 other people has the same ip as me, will stop people hacking me anyway

Yes but if there was just one he/she could do some damage if they wanted... Probably.

Im on a home network, using ipconfig only gives my internal address, using whatismyip.com gives my external. and this is the same as other peoples, becasue i have been accused of spamming on other forums because one of my friends on ntl was spamming and it has the same ip as me.
