Anyway, my point is, I now truly understand how excruciating it must be to be a proper insomniac, not being able to sleep when that's all you want to do. I almost went mad last night just trying to keep my emotions in check - it's natural to try and fall asleep, but when your body doesn't let you, your brain starts freaking out. I've only been like this for two nights, imagine what it'd be like for a lifetime? Utter, utter torture. I can't wait until I can get back to sleep again (hardcore drugs are helping me here) but until I do, I'm starting to dread the end of the day when I have to try to go to sleep.
Anyway, just thought I'd share, it probably explains the lack of updates around here anyway :)
Anyone else here have trouble sleeping?
I've missed so much college time because I've been sleeping in... truth is, I'm not even going to bed that late, only about 1-2am. Back in the day, waking up at 7am with only 5 hours kip was no problem. Now, I just can't get out of bed...
I can't seem to sleep at night, although recently I've been working nights, and have had no trouble getting to sleep when I've got home in the morning. Something weird about that. maybe I'm just naturally nocturnal.
I tried those 'nytol' sleeping tablets for a while, which work, but make you feel drowsy as hell the next day, so I stopped. I tried herbal sleep tablets, which are too mild really, you need to take loads, but just feel drowsy and horrible, without getting to sleep. stopped them also.
my mum dabbles a lot in aromatherapy. There are several essential oils you can burn in your room which aid sleep - these do work if you don't mind your room smelling like a tarts handbag, but you need to be at least tired to start off with, they won't work if you're wide awake.
there is no miracle cure I don't think.

Every. Time.
And that was Saggys comment, not the other....... *cough*
I have had strange sleeping patterns of late, and they are due to get worse.
It's a win-win situation.

Obviously, it took a month and a bit before anyonw acctually listend to me, and that time was a hell!
Fortunately i managed to get a pretty decent 7-7.5 hours, its not as much as i would have liked, but its better than the 5-6 hours i was geting before, i felt really run down.
