When i was at primary school we watched a series that was part of the look and read programme called Through the Dragon's Eye. It was about this golden hexagonal thing that shattered into six pieces and it was like the key to defeating an evil crow thing called Charn.

Well anyway, in my nostalgia i done a search on google and it turns out they are repeating the series on the cbbc channel from feb 2nd 2004.

Used to watch it at school in English lessons. I remember everyone singing along to that countdown thingy "doo doo doododododo dooo dodod odododo" and my mate crying everytime Charn was on the screen.

Well, the three kids, Scott, Jenny and Amanda were painting a picture on a wall when the picture of the dragon winked at them. They get brought into the world of Palamar where Gorwen, the dragon, explains that the Veetacore, the thing that gives life to Palamar exploded. The Veetacore keepers Boris, Morris and Doris can't read the book to put the Veetacore back together so Jenny stays behind while Scott, Gorwen, Boris and his flying cricket bat, Amanda and Roadie the mouse search for the 3 missing pieces. They encounter various puzzles and have constant problems with the Widgets.

There is more. I remember way too much about this. :)

Does anyone remember Ghost Writer though? It used to follow Look and Read.

Don't forget Spywatch. Or the one with the alien Ollie.

And then if you go back far enough there was one on an island.

My most poigniant memory is when Boris got stuck in a quagmire and he was rescued with a cricket bat.

I seem to remember quite a lot about Through The Dragon's Eye. There was also Badger Girl I remember and Geordie Racer that I saw at school.

Palamar, that was it.

Yeah, maybe he didn't die, but came close.
He kept flashing (just like Sonic did after he got hurt! ;-)) and all the kids were saying "No! You can't die!".

I can't really remember much else from it though.

It was damn good for a 6 year olds educational program though.
