Well according to yesterday's media he is. Initially I thought 'What the Hell?'

But after thinking about it, there are several reasons why this transfer might just happen and why Viduka may just be the man United need!

------------------

5 Reasons why I think the may just sign in January:

1) A decent Premiership Proven quality striker - not someone coming in from a different part of the world who would probabaly take ages to settle in, only needs to cross the pennines.

2) Won't cost a lot probably around the £5 mil mark which is ideal for Fergie and Co.

3) Can Lead the line on his own (as shown at Leeds) which is ideal for United as he can give Ruud a rest when United play their 'European Style' formation or can be a decent partner for any of our current strikers let alone van Nistlerooy.

4) Eligible for European Football - something United are looking for United

5) Leeds need all the money they can get so it won't be too much of a hassle signing him either.

------------------

All in all it makes sense to sign him. I know he's been a bit of a pain to Leeds at times but im sure Alex Ferguson would sort him out and he would be a decent signing for us because any alternative transfer would probably take far too long. A deal for a player like Van der Vaart, would take time to put through and we only have 1 month to sort something out.

Both of them left United last Summer.

Webber was sold to a first division team and Mooniaruck was released from his contract :/

Kezman is indeed from Yugoslavia.

Means nothing. Just look at the Kluivert/Van Nistelrooy international malarky. Half the team are usually having punch ups anyways!

Kezman is Yugoslavian anyways.

Since he's Dutch, he'll work really well with RVN.

Also, United have some good young forwards coming through the ranks as well, such as Webber and Mooniaruck.

Kezman at PSV is also in United's sights and his club are willing to discuss moves for the player but there's a lot of interest in him.

At 24 he's a great prospect and maybe more ideal for the future?

Leeds Utd haven't even been approached about a loan deal for Viduka. Seems like a lie from the tabloid press. But if Defoe arrives at United, it's good news. He won't mind not being first-choice, will be able to develop as a player, and will have a regular chance to shine in the top division, and possibly get an England call. United have enough foreigners, so a British forward seems to win both ways.

Well, Leeds now seem adamant to keep him at the club until the end of the season, at least. They see both he and Alan Smith - who certainly won't be leaving! - as the kind of players they 'need' in order to survive.

So, a loan-deal seems out of the question, unfortunately.

However, I think Jermain Defoe's looking to get back in Fergie's sight, again. Since all this on-off Mark Viduka talk, he's had a few things to say about himself... Like, how he can't help but think about it, when a big club such as United as rumoured to be interested - even though he's content to stay with West Ham (...apparently!).

Yesterday's daily express seems to think Fergie may go for Viduka onloan which would relieve Leeds of his £65 k a week wages.

This would also mean United get him on a try before buy basis, they would then either send him back or get him on a free when his contract expires in the summer, which I don't think Leeds would mind too much seeing as they would make sod all from his transfer anyway.

Seems like a reasonable deal? - baring in mind it would be a temp solution with a view to buying someone like van der vaart in the summer.

Whether there's any truth in this story is yet to be seen, but Fergie has been quoted in the same paper as saying that he will buy in January.

Only time will tell.
