A while ago, he got a new Gfx card - ATI Radeon 9600 Pro, Tyan Tachyon make.
Anyways, recently it's been freezing after about 1-2 minutes of playing Moh:AA.
It used to be fine, it's all so suddenly. Moh: AA Breakthrough (the Expansion) was fine also.
So what's going on?
It's all (seems to be) installed properly.
It has a built on thermometer thingy, and checking that before play, it's only touching 30 degrees C, and the danger area is 70.
Hmm.
Help!
(And MOD - I'm going to slap you if you touch this thread)

Yeah, i think it may be a a little inaccurate. Otherwise your graphics card could boil water.
Anyways, that's what I've returned to tell you - I kicked it and it gave the proper reading.
Well, not really.
But all the readings are 38 ish now, and seem good.
But it's still crashing.
I've set OpenGL and DirectX settings to Optimal Performance rather than Quality.
But it's still happening. Grr.
Tomorrow, I'm going to try the card in my comp, see if it crashes here.
Have you tried anything i have suggested and if so what was the outcome.
Cheers
Colin

Sorry mate.
Right, the drivers are the newest already, I'd already tried re-installing MoH: AA - same thing keeps happening. It was happening with Vietcong as well.
It appears to be while gaming only.
I'm going to try the card in my comp - see if it works alright, and if it doesn't, it's the card, if it does, it's something else.
I'll try the benchmarking thing after that. I'll update you then.

Bet you wish you had thought of a better title now ;¬/

Anyway, I think we've pinpointed the problem.
The card worked perfectly well on my comp.
It was crashing on his with the games (Moh) setting at their lowest.
It worked perfectly well on my comp with the setting at their highest qualities.
So, I now think it could be his CPU overheating, as there isn't a fan on it, and it's rather hot indeed after it has crashed.
So, is a fan the answer?
He hasn't got one over the CPU, which is why I think this is the problem.
