Hi. I was just wondering what everbody else thinks about the GAMECUBE and the GBA. Personally I think that they are going to be brilliant and will be the best. And how much do u think they should cost to buy? Or am I just completly mad? Of course not. And why? Because NINTENDO ARE THE BEST!!

Grix has a point. It makes a refreshing change to see a simple discussions starter like this for a change, instead of seeing yet another regurgitated topic.

Although most of the discussion generated has revolved around whether or not it should win ;)

I'm not being sarcastic... I really want this to win.

Just because it's not long, and doesn't make a valid point...

The fact is, is that it is simple discussion, instead of going over repeated arguements. This should win.

The Game

I disagree actually. If you're talking about games as in quantity, then yes, the PS2 will have far more. But with few of those titles actually being deemed AAA ones, I don't see that their software's going to harm even Gamecube's launch lineup, which will likely include a Mario game, Perfect Dark 2, the return of Metroid, Dinosaur Planet, not to mention everything we're not even totally aware of as of yet. The major difference between Sony and Nintendo is this: Nintendo takes an interest in all games coming to their console and looks for quality titles. It's like current TV set-ups. It doesn't matter how many channels you have if all they show isn't worth anything.

No doubt they will both be a twinkle in all Ninty fans eyes, but despite the early-ish release of the GBA the Gamecube might come too little too late. I suppose for those who buy a GBA they are, in effect, investing in the future, but the GBA doesn't need the Gamecube to succeed, it might be the other way around for the Gamecube.

Hopefully for Nintendo people buy a GBA and wait over christmas for a Gamecube but being the impatient gits that we are that might not happen. MGS2 will, no doubt, have a BIG effect and if Sony market the game well enough, then it will, regardless of price ship a couple of hundred PS2's to living rooms before christmas!

The Gamecube will be great, it is compact, packed full of technology, as it has already demonstrated what it can do. But, as always, games will be the deciding factor. Playstation will have a load of games, including MGS2, out by christmas, Nintendo have got to rely on the GBA to support them over this period, but remember as good as the GBA maybe it isn't what CONSOLE owners want, and if Nintendo don't or can't promise anything anytime tsoon the people might just jump ship to The Land of Sony and Radiatorville!

I would just like to let you all in on some insiders info:

A Killer Instinct is a launch game for the European release of the GC!

I shouldn't have told you that but hey I didn't sign a contract!

and Grix is right, this should win gameaday, it has started something to talk about.
