In the grey dawn I discover I'm a Notable, and I greet this news with a mixture of satisfaction and mild paranoia. I'm pleased, of course I am, yet at the same time there comes a strange feeling of pressure.
To all who voted for me, I thank you. I'll even thank those who think I'm a pretentious ziphead: it's good to be liked, but to be disliked or thought of as unworthy doesn't bother me in the slightest - it's not my quest in life to be 'popular'.
12 votes (14 if you count the two 'too late' ones) is hardly a resounding endorsement, but I suppose 'a win is a win is a win', and what is the best remedy? - victory.
I'm quite proud of this change of colour, especially when I think of how great other Notables are, posters like Insane Bartender, Grix Thraves, Goatboy, Meka Dragon and the rest.
If I sound over-serious and melancholic, it's because yesterday was a difficult and exhausting day, for reasons I won't go into, but let me just say that I won't vanish into the night like a ghostly stage coach, I'll stick around and continue to add to these forums in the best way I know how.

Don't worry about the pressure mate. It goes awaay in time. The only other problem you're likely to come across is people throwing your status in your face every time you argue about something. But being the likeable gentleman you are, I somehow don't expect you'll experience this as often as I do.
