legally none of the games belong to them so they can't sell them or give them away

although in fairness playing Goldeneye online will probably be crap compared to more modern FPS. It is really, really dated now. It doesn't even have an onscreen crosshair! You have to press R, and then you can't move!

They should do whatever it takes to get Goldeneye for download, and ready to play online. It'd be somewhat of an omfg!11

next generation I'm looking forward to some truly stunning RPGs. I don't think FPS will change much, but at the moment RPGs are really bound by the technology - play any one of them and just look at how they've had to cut corners and miss out things.

Now I know this is partly due to the fact that they don't have enough time or money to perfect everything, and the problem is that the next generation is onl going to make this worse, which is sad. That's why I've always said that I hope Nintendo's revolution is something that makes it supremely easy to code games so developers can spend more time creating and less time fighting against the hardware with increasing development costs. Lower development costs and shorter cycles would mean that Developers could do more in the same time and for less money, so we wouldn't just see "safe" games being released (for "safe" read EA) because everyone would be more willing to take risks.

Anyway, I'm interested to see how Nintendo plan to incorporate the internet so integrally into their revolution. Aside from their circle of love, it was all pretty vague. It does sound like that have something interesting planned, though.

Well the first two and fifth are guaranteed. The fourth is pretty likely, I mean the Cube had Tales, Baten and Skies. Exclusive FPS? Unless there's a GEIST 2, stick with Live.
