I apologise - crap.
Yet he still posts it?
Hmm.

***

The room smelt like new carpet. A smell I’ve never been sure I like or not.
But it was unmistakable, and threw my mind back to reality. But only for a second, then drew me back here again.
The end.

I flip my lucky penny in the air. Lean against the wall, waiting.
Head, tails, heads, tails.
Always the same.

Somebody, somewhere, has a random thought. And my penny is frozen in mid-air
Trick of the end.
Everything’s possible near the end - the mind is free.

I knew months before. One afternoon, I was walking home and it came to me.
Like the sun piercing through the storm clouds, spearing my vision. Only I couldn’t turn away, couldn’t turn back, couldn’t close my eyes. Once the sun hit me, there was nothing - I knew about the end.
I knew about the tricks.

And I scooped that old penny off the pavement.
And I flipped it in the air.

It was time to make the big decisions. Like the smells I like, and those I don’t.
Fresh grass - yes.
Melted plastic - no.
New trainers - yes
Peanuts - no
Petrol - yes

Always the same.

Now it’s my lucky penny. It’s stuck in mid-air, hanging between the sides - as indecisive as I am. The carpet smell tickles my nose.

Now it’s the end.
And now everybody knows it - and their minds are free. Death does funny things.
The world is no longer real, people have changed it. Made it worse, better, stranger, thicker.
With a free mind, they can do anything.

And now I’m stuck in this box-room. With the new carpet.
With the random thoughts, with my lucky penny.

I bring the penny to my nose, sniff.
Good smell / bad smell.
Another random thought.
My lucky penny melts.

And here I die, with a copper kiss.
In the box-room, that new-carpet smell in my nostrils.

I hate that smell.

Black Glove will probably read it now. All that suicide for nothing. Ah well.

Heh. Reminds me of a classic episode of Boy Meets World I saw the other day...

Yes. The one where Eric finds his "Lucky Penny". :D

It wasn't too crap. But I was felling more creative yesterday and it wouldn't write out properly.

Yeah, so bUmp.
It would be nice, just for once, not to have to pop a topic.
