I remember getting my PS2 from Game on launch day as an early xmas present from the folks. Got a PS2 + Extra Pad + Memory card + Stand + SSX + Timesplitters + Tekken Tag. Came to the silly price of around £500. Crazy it was considering that was just my xmas present, my parents must have been crazy to spend all of that. I was just expecting the console and one game. Happy days!

It's most probable that I'll have no choice but to get one at launch. I might get a hefy discount, however.

Deep down though, there really isn't much I'm looking foward to. Impressive demos, but most are pre-rendered and overhyped. The genuinely good games are cross platform.

I remember my local market had a Japanese one on sale for around £700 with a Tekken Tag demo, everyone who walked past used to jism over how good it looked.

I got slapped bloody Import Tax on my PSTWO - b*stards - will never order from Import Madness again, set of jokers they are.

As long as it isn't something crazy like £500 then I am in from release me thinks. As soon as I can pre-order one I will be doing - along with the sexually spanking Devil May Cry 4.

They won't have the advantage of being first on board this time. It'll have to be nearby to the 360's price, unless then can pull off a jism of exclusive games.

I'm still undecided until I see some genuine in game footage and not pre-rendered stuff. However Sony can piece off if they are asking £350-400 at launch. I'd rather wait 3-6 months for the inevitable price drop.

The graphics cards they are using don't cost $1000.

I saw $449 touted yesterday. Planning on heading to the States before the year is out, might just delay it a couple of months and go next February/March and nab one whilst I am there.

I'd wouldn't be surprised by a £399.99 price tag, maybe £419.99 with one extra controller, and £449.99 for PS3, 2 controllers and 1 game bundled.

I expect, as always, it's the accessories that are going to be overpriced. I'd hate to hazard a guess at the price of a Sony PS3 Official Removable HDD.
