We have all experienced these annoying things. The companies that are using pop up adverts say this:

"They are good ways of advertising products and guarantee people will at least look at the product"

They only guarantee this because they stuck in are faces and when we close them they just keep coming back.

One of the things you can't fail to notice these days are the amount of annoying adverts that try to sell you anything from books to CD's. The latest trend to hit the web in this way is pop-up adverts that suddenly appear, or fly around your screen and putting you off what you were originally doing, and worst of all annoying you.

I had one today I was loading up my email account and suddenly there was this Viking woman floating around my screen with bright coloured backgrounds, then the worst bit came, the cheapest way of advertising, she began to sing. It was horrible and there was no way of stopping it unless I closed down the site I wanted, I had to wait until it was over.
The Worst advertisers have to be E-bay because they don’t just load up a small window but a huge full screen window, that’s wrong and annoying. It slows down the site I actually want from loading.

Now I know I can buy a program which gets rid of all these pop ups, but why should I when its not my fault that a random company has to advertise like this.

Downloading shareware will probably mean even more popups, this time from the program itself.

Replace shareware with freeware, makes the prospect more attractive...

If the Google toolbar won't work, there's exactly 1,496,923 other programs that'll do the same job. Most shareware too. Many alternate browsers have the feature built in too.
