I've been having slightly odd dreams lately that I can find no solid connection between, but for some reason I can't explain they feel connected. I know this sounds odd, it feels odd to me. One of the dreams though I'm sure I had before, maybe 4 or 5 years ago, possibly longer ago than that. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like that?

Who want to hear my crazy dreams that I had when I first came to university this year? No? Shut up.

Ok. One dream involved a small dark room, I was a third person not actually present but kind of watching from a corner; like a security camera. It was a kind of black and white dream, not like the 1950s films but more monochrome. There was a black dude sitting on top of some shelves with a rope tied around his neck. Jill Valaentine from Resident Evil was on the floor with a shot gun. She shouted ''No, don't do it!'' But the dude jumped from the shelves and was hung. He soon died. But then what is really freaky is he was kind of still alive and said ''kill me'' over and over. Jill put a shotgun bullet from underneath his neck right through his head. I remember a lot of blood. You would think he was dead but he was still saying 'kill me' but as Jill keept shooting his head the voice got lower and softer until it was just a wisper. The I woke up seriously disturbed. More so than usual that is.

The other major dream of late involved again a monochrome colour scheme. It was outside and the sky was stormy, though it was not raining. The landscape was barren dirt that was perfectly grey and flat. The behind me a massive thermo-nuclear explosion went off. Naturally I nearly crapped myself. In the dream anyway. My younger brother was also in the dream. The nuclear cloud got bigger so I and my brother fled. We both appeared on seperate horses and rid away. However, the explosion kept coming. It was like I could see the camera view in front of me with the horse galloping towards the camera with the explosion getting bigger in the distance. As I rode with my brother the 'camera' or viewpoint kept changing to a close up of me on the side of my horse looking behind me. Then we both appeared in army trucks. The same happens and still the explosion gets closer. Eventually we both appear in F-15 fighter jets. My brother was a little way behind me by this point. The planes were fast and it looked like we were escaping from the blast. This time it went into first person mode and I was in the cockpit. My brothers window flew open and he fell out, flying in the sky. I manovered the jet so it would intercept him and I opened the window/cockpit to catch him. However, while I touched his jacket I missed him and he flew off into the distance to a certain death, either by the shock wave or hitting the ground miles below. I again woke up disturbed.

I think the second one had something to do with me going away to uni and my life catching up on me (the nuke) and my brother was getting left behind, both in terms of us being apart and possibly him starting secondary school but me being ahead at university.

That is all.

No, it’s not the cheesy tripping fall. It’s the, “my head is heavy and I can’t stop myself falling”, type of thing.

I seem to be able to fly perfectly in my dreams!

Ain't that a b*tch? I also find it hard to run up hills - however steep, as if my legs have no muscles at all.

Never woke up in a sweat, but I have woke up temporarily paralyzed and with a rapid heartbeat.

I have also woke up laughing my head off too - although I cannot remember why...

I want to know why sometimes during sleep I make sudden movements and wake myself up.

Also, whenever I get shot in a dream, I wake up just as the gun is fired, why?

Why is it so hard to fly properly in dreams? Lots of arm flapping and painful landings.

Why when I’m running away from someone do I always fall over and find it so hard to get up again?

Heheh, you crazy lot!

Anyone ever woke up in a sweat or is that just in the movies?

How about waking up making a crying noise or some other noise?

I swear I said "Ouch" and yelped whilst waking up.. That's cos I got bit by a snake.

That's happened to me before too.

I'va also worked out mathematical problems which I wouldn't be able to do in real life. And after working them out as I dreamt, they work!

I've never had the opportunity to control a dream though, usually when I realise I'm dreaming, I wake up :(

The weirdest dreams I've ever had are straight after playing on a game, then getting really stuck and trying everything to do whatever I'm supposed to be doing. If I dream about the game, I'll magically dream the solution up, and then it always works when I try it in the morning! Now that IS crazy!

I played Connect 4 so much in Thailand that I was seeing the lines in my sleep. Crazy...
