Three great films I've watched lately that I reccomend to you people. Although I'm aware that some of you have seen them already.

Magnolia
One Hour Photo
Rules Of Attraction

Apart from: Dune - poor. Return of the JedI - great.
Sadly for me, no one told me this in time. After reading the book, I thought I’d spend a few quid and get Dune on DVD. How unfortunate.

Everyone should watch Dune and then Return of the Jedi. You'll be amazed at many of the striking similarities!

I just watched it again today, and it's ten times better than I originally gave it credit for. A brilliantly written, slick and well acted indie, with an excellent central character with acerbic dialogue.

"I could tell you that what you perceive as your personality is nothing more than a collection of Vanity Fair articles, that your choice of sexual partners this evening was decided months ago by some account executive at Young & Rubecam, I could tell you that given a week to study your father and the various ways he ignored you I could come up with a schtick you'd be helpless to resist. Helpless."

*drums cocktail stick on glass*

"I could tell you all that, but what would you do with the information?"

Films you should watch:

Cube
Kill Bill
Donnie Darko
Killing Zoe
Point Break
True Romance
Wild Things

Anybody who mainly agrees with me, let me know what you would suggest as I know there are probably some films out there that I would fall in love with and haven't yet seen!

Hmmm, just checked it out on the IMDB, "`Dodger' plays out like one long night at the bars, with all the principals starting out convicted and assured, but ending up the night in the gutter, fully aware of themselves"

Looks quite good. I'll have to get hold of it. Thanks for the heads up.
