first of all they get nvidia to handle the graphics side of things (hmm now you'll remmber they currently produce the graphics engine for the gamecube)
secondly - they now go and get IBM to produce the CPU - (hmmm much like they currently do by way of the "flipper" CPU in the cube!0
now i realise they are probably impressed with the power the cube has in such a small space compared to their monstrosity of a brick, they probably realise that even though the xbox is apparantly super powerful, you cant actually tell the difference between the cube and xbox versions of most games, and if anything the graphics are brighter and not as washed out on the cube
so..........
why dont they just admit to basically wanting to recreate the cube as xbox ??

OHW, HE'S MAKING IT UP AS HE GOES ALONG!
Just goes to show that the next generation will be all about software.
Tis like buying clothes.
Just because you buy a Nike t-shirt, and someone else you know does too, it doesn't mean you're both buying the same product.

thank you...this is what i meant before...the current X-box has an Nvidia graphics card, so going for Nvidia on X-box 2 isn't copying the Cube.
and so, i was not proved wrong.

And I'm impressed you took it remotley serious.
All my claims that have no basis in fact such as the one above has it's toungue firmly planeted in its cheek.
Although Microsoft has stated "We are aiming the console to a demographic that is similar to the PS2's, we don't see ourselves in competition with Nintendo".
So there's backed up claim.

The hardware inside an Xbox is worth far more than the asking price of an Xbox, that's why everyone was so keen to circumvent Xbox copy protection and install Linux when it first came out. It's effectively a free PC on Microsoft.

That's one of the stupidest comments I've seen on the forums in a long time. Conratumalations Mr Dringo Sir.
