Usually I see the beauty of both Autumn and Winter. The cold days are distinctly clear and on days of sunshine I really feel warm inside (even though its freezing) I snuggle up watching whatever cheap, saddening show is on like how reggie the dog has one leg and if you ring this number millions like him could have a home.
Also, and most obviously there is the buzz and excitement as christmas closes in. The seasonal spirit, people are always so much chirpier during this period. ... That is untill the January sales fall upon us when middle aged mothers turn into England's rugby players and barge there way through the masses to reach the ten pack of baby lotion and half price embroided bed sheets at low low prices....
Usually people talk about how winter is the worst season of the year. That the winter blues saddens the heart and boredom, depression and self pity kick in. This is usually nonsense to me. I don't get effeted by the shortened days and gloomy weather!
But this year is different. Today lasted longer. I had nothing to do. I went our and the rain dripped down my cheeks after flattening my fringe which really cheesed me off. I went to visit my grandparents and nothing went right.
I realise that as this year closes in it will be different. I have to deal with my Grandad's illness and his distinct change. This, had affected my outlook on this season earlier.
But now I sit with a red nose, freezing feet and hands. I am sipping tea and thinking of those good old times and christmas' past.
Winter isnt as gloomy after all
they come down to my ears..
You know christmas crackers hats?
They fall over my head so i wear them as a neckless. *sulks*
Then point
Then throw tomatoes and I would have to move in with the trolls under the bridge,
they smell
it's ... so... cold!
I am wearing thermal socks, a huge polo necked groovy jumper... topped with another huge jumper. Thickest jeans I own and i am still pulling my tops so they reach my nose and sitting on my feet for warmth!
