"Most Haunted Live!"

Hooray, it's that time of year again when Yvette Fielding, Derek Acorah, Phil Wyman and a whole host of psychics, skeptics and paranormal investigators, don their best goth suits and head on over to a "haunted house". I'm talking of course about the annual live ghost hunt on Living TV with the UK's leading spiritualist medium Derek Acorah. Should be fun - I've got a load of beer left over from a party I never went to, so I'm be hunting some blurry ghosts methinks!

Heheh, for some reason, I try so hard not to like this program, but it doesn't work!

The name in the envelope.. what was it in the end?
Was it Isobel or something? I think it was a woman's name who fell down the stairs and died or something.. ?

meh, on discovery: civilisation it had a program call 'ghost detectives' on, and it was ten times better and more believeable, with tons more techno-gizmos and detectors than bill gates' house!

Well, now that was a surprise - they didn't find anything! Still, I had a few beers and a bit of a laugh, so all's cool in the world of ghosthunting.

Very true. It's just entertainment. that's all they're allowed to market it as too - they've even got in trouble for presenting it as "talking with the dead" before. I only really watch Derek Acorah doing Most Haunted because they (allegedly) take him to unknown locations and he works his magic. Whether it's real or not is beside the point - it's just funny to watch.

Now Colin Fry - I hate that weasel-faced assbandit.

I'd like it MUCH more if derek wasn't in the show. he squashes the excitement with his crappy lectures and "ohh, i sense it REALLY strong here, let's draw around an object and see if it moves while we're 'avin a cuppa!" kind of stuff. i'd just like to be there myself...

I posted my thoughts about this show in Life earlier:

"I get angry watching things like "Most Haunted", because I know that every time one of the gibbering morons on screen screams "Muh! Something touched my arm!" there are two million people gasping in awe at the paranormal activity they have been blessed enough to witness."

I watched the one with the Underground, and apparantly they found a ghost. *shrugs* 'Twas entertaining TV.

That was the last episode of Hollyoaks. Any when talking about "anybody there" she was talking about viewers.
