Meh I thought it was time for a change and I want to be the next Tarantino, Spielberg, Lucas etc. It fits perfectly...ahem...Anyway just so you all know I'm Tarantino 2 now not Cubist.

By that logic I think you should have a certain amount of respect for me. But you don't, which is why I came to the conclusion that I did.

So you're telling me that the only reason I respect Grix, Dringo etc is because I like them? It's not because they have qualities worth respecting like a good sense of humour, brilliant writing skills and general talent in many different fields? Well if that's what you think you are wrong.

But you only respect them because you like them, which was what I implied.

I never said they were the same just that they commonly go hand in hand like they have here tonight. I'm sure there are people out there I will both hate and respect but i haven't found them yet. Until that time though I don't have to justify my use of the words as the people they are in reference to I both respect and like.

And that is precisely the problem. You think respect is just the same as whether you like someone or not. It's perfectly possible to respect someone if you hate them, or like somebody but have zero respect for them. It's a completely different issue.

Oh, and "respect" isn't interchangable with "like".

Of course it was my name but I suppose you think that is neither here nor there heh. Anyway I really don't care anymore. You can say what you want this topic was resolved ages ago and is now dead to me. Thanks for helping it to stop Dringo.
