The Tarantino script is NOT there so if you like his fast witty talking then you will be firmly disappointed, the film is mostly in Japanese.
There is an overrun anime sequence with a young (cartoon) Lucy Liu. I'm not the biggest fan of amine and haven't seen hardly any anime films but it wasn't super impressive.
Michael Madsen isn't in it at all except for about 20 secs.
The evil one from Battle Royale is in it and plays an evil school girl in this one, the one with the swinging ball (forgot the name) from the trailer.
The soundtrack is good but not amazing. I liked the main song (one from trailer) but it was no Pulp Fiction.
If you've seen the trailer, there are no surprises in the story. Uma after revenge, pretty much all.
Uma Thurman is good at her role but nothing amazing.
The one thing that left me thinking is that Uma Thurman didn't have a name in the film and her name was blanked every time it was mentioned.
I was very disappointed and thought it was an average action film and a poor Tarantino film.... (watch this space for Volume 2)
Were you living in a hole? Everyone knew this was just a 'cool movie' where you just get overwhelmed by how cool swords are for 110 minutes.
They are allowed to try something different, and hey, I liked it.

I think that should say, see it if you want to see mindless violence with lots of severed limbs. I love my violence but I went to Kill Bill to see and hear some amazing lines that I could annoy my friends with not a poor mans Japanese film.
Ofcourse I'll still be seeing the second one and probably purchasing them on DVD so I can have my full Tarantino collection but I was very disapointed when I compare it to Reservoir or Pulp.
Be ashamed, man.
You should all see it too, unless you don't like blood or severed limbs.
Although it was different from his other films, it was still great. One hell of a slick film. Very well made.
As for Pulp Fiction...
"I'm sorry, did I break your concentration"
> Well they don't exactly make me jism all over the place
Too much. Keep that for JSC :P
