This is where I want to live.
Nobody around, huge skies and blue sea. North coast of Scotland. Best holiday ever.

I live there. I used to live in Orkney. Now I live in Scotland. Heh heh.

We hired out a log cabin (£200 for the week and it could house 6 people!) on the non-touristy side of Loch Ness. Just us, a farmhouse down the road, and beautiful views of the Loch. It really is an amazing country, can't wait to go back again. The nearest town was a 2 mile walk, and it consisted of some houses and a pub. Perfect if you want to get away from it all for a bit. The farm had a horse that you could ride, cats, dogs, chickens, home-grown produce - everything you need to be self-sufficient. The people there are really nice and friendly too, which made a change.

I used to play golf, but i was utterly awful so gave it up.

I used to play golf, but now I just putt on the carpet.

You should try Fife in North-East... quiet, better weather, great coastal views, small fishing villages with local produce and fresh clean air.

About what? Loving Scotland? Perhaps I mocked those photos up using pictures of the Highlands, and superimposed myself standing at the dock at John O'Groats?

I think you mean Busby... it's near me, second stop on the train.

This has nothing to do with the topic but I fisted the air with genuine glee when Darren Fletcher scored for Scotland against Serbia, and I'm English. Can you imagine a Scot acting the same way in support of England.
