Yesterday, for only a few short but highly pleasurable minutes, I had a gorgeous flowing mullet. It wasn’t in the Pat Sharp or Michael Bolton league of extraordinary haircuts, but it was my very first mullet.

I had been growing my hair fairly long-ish, and it was about 3 or so inches long, but it was getting a little too big, so needed my usual all-over shave.
To save money on having to pay extortionate hair salon grooming prices, I’d bought one of those DIY haircutting razors from Argos many years ago, and had a regular boring haircut every month or so, saving me heaps of cash. But over the last few months I thought it would be cool to try growing it long for a change, though it got the chop yesterday as it was just getting annoying.

Whenever my brother cuts my hair, or I cut his hair, we often thought it would be great if we cut somehow sculpt a mullet, but our hair isn’t usually that long for it, so the right effect would never be achieved. But yesterday was different. I had suitably long enough hair to get the proper bona-fide redneck mullet look, and it worked.
It was a proper shaved over the top and long at the back mullet.

For those few short mullet-filled minutes I paraded around like some kind of god, or a Chuckle Brother.

But all good things must come to an end. So having experienced the high-life for those few minutes, the hair cutting concluded and the gimmick mullet was lost forever. It was great while it lasted, but I wouldn't have gone outside with it.

*looks at hair*

I have one now, i mate a bet with my mate last November to see who could go the longest without cutting their hair.
Heh we are both still going, i can almost put my hair in my mouth now :)

But i dont like it, i might just loose and get it cut.

What ya think?

What's wrong with having a mullet? It's one of the best haircuts you can have in winter, when your hair acts as a hat. 60% of all body heat lost goes out of the head.

I dont beleive you had a mullet AND kept your dignity. Best of both worlds or what!

I might get some of those head-shaver things - I'd probably take my ear off though. Paying £4.50 for some gay bloke to "give you a trim" is unjust in my opinion.
