I need some good quality (preferably 5.1 surround sound) headphones, and a USB gamepad. Anyone reccomend any?

I'm willing to fork out a fair bit for the headphones if they are worth it, but I don't want to spend too much on a gamepad, just something that's decent enough for racing/football games on the pc.

Cheers.

Are you a xbox owner? because if you are.

Joytech Neo-Play 24x USB Gamepad is just a PC version of an xbox one, they are really cheap under a tenner at play.

Not sure about the headphones.

Actually, when I used to have an Xbox I attached an old USB cable to the controller, and used that as my PC controller.

But I sold the Xbox with the controller last week.

I really like the Xbox control pad so I'll have to check the one you mentioned out.

do you mean PS2 as in the connection type or PS2 as in a playstation 2 controller converted for PC?

A PS2 controller converted to PC.

I've found something which will let me use an existing PS2 controller on the PC but I don't have a PS2 controller so I'd have to buy both things so I was wondering if you kew of a PS2 identical controller for the PC?

I ended up getting a MadCatz pc gamepad from ASDA.
It's basically a more comfortable version of the Xbox controller for the PC.

Now I just gotta get some games to make use of it.
Currently getting NHL 2004 and Colin Mcrae 2005..
Not sure what else, maybe the latest ProEvo.

I imported a cable from Lik-sang which allows me to play my Xbox pad on the PC...very cheap..only about £7..however none of the games I own appear to work properly!!

Seemed like a good idea at the time!!

Speakers are a lot better than headphones, better quality (arguably) and more versitile. If you want headphones so you wont annoy the people you live with, they are a bit pointless if you use something like ventrillo our team speak.
Also you can crank speakers up very very loud. Joy!
