Just taken the dog out, and just as I was returning, two kids who must of been about 12 asked for the time. I said 'No, sorry' and they asked 'why you say sorry'so I said 'because you asked for the time and I didn't have it. It's just polite' then I heard them being cocky little tw@s. Couldn't be bothered to do anything so just left them.
Is it me that has the problem by saying sorry, or is that little kids don't know the meaning of the word manners now-a-days?

Although she's an alsation, she would start barking, then they would do something, and she would run behind me and scour.
She's soft.

Heh this looks so daft out of context.
He he. :D

I have too much pride so if I was old I'd be miffed. I know people are trying to be helpful but people who are old don't like to be reminded that they might be past their best.
Loads of old people would rather struggle with the door and do so on their own, it's true. :)

Just set the dog on them :oP
I was brought up with a strong sense of manners but no-one else in this world uses them.
Reminds me of a small story I read.
A boy went into a shop and held the door open for the ady approaching behind him. After she went in he loudly shouted "Your Welcome" getting the attention of everyone and infuriating the lady.
Serves her right, more young people are mannerous today, but no-one wants to show it in front of their mates cos it's "sacky"

Old people are the WORST when it comes to manners. And yet, they're the first ones to complain that "the youth of today" has no manners. Working in a supermarket, I have to deal with and help a wide variety of people, and the majority of elderly people I have to help look down their noses at me like I'm something they stood in. And then they wonder why I look like my entire family died or something when I'm working.
Pfff.

And get 'retards' in there somewhere too.
