... so my car insurance renewal comes through the post; I open it and find that it's £458 this year. £458! That's up over £60 from last year and I haven't had an accident or made a claim for the last 8 years! I ring them up (Axa) and ask them why it's gone up and they give me some rubbish about increased costs etc. so I tell them "Thanks, but no thanks."

I then get quotes from several other insurers, the average price being about £350 until I get to More Than - their price was £202! I checked and double checked the quote and it was right so I protected my no claim's bonus for life, too, and got insured - fully comprehensive - for £220!

I'm a happy bunny.

Dont talk to me about insurance.

Phoned mine (Admiral) last week to get quote on new car I was buying that evening.

Goddamn highway robbery

Bargain.

My dad went with Norwich Union which cost him £170 p.a. He's got a 95% no claims and has never made a claim. Yet.
