Yes, Dad + Computer = Disaster.
A wire was loose at the back or something, just the printer I think.
Now, the tower is on like a shelf around 2-4 inches off the ground.
He just hoofed it out, badoompf.
Now, it won't start up.
I looked inside, and the Gfx card wasnt plugged in porperly, as it wasn't screwed in securely.
I sorted it, and thought that it'd be it.
But it wasn't.
The computer starts buzzing, the fans go on etc... but then it starts to like beep.
I've had this before when I replaced a Gfx on my comp a while ago - putting it back in securely sorted it.
Everything is in properly, securely, all wires and hardware etc.
So what the hell is wrong?
Help!

Is it like a continuous beep? Or a series of long and short beeps?
Oh, it then stops.
The monitor stays blank.
When you turn on, you hear the fans etc initiating (ahar), and then a few sec later, it sorta goes "Beep, beep, beep,...,..., Beeepppp, b-b-beep"
The first three 3/4 second intervals, the ellipsis' indicating short breaks (1-2 seconds), and the rest is obvious.
It's annoying.
I'm getting paid if I can sort it.
Woo.

I just went to check what the beeps were doing now.
It *was* doing like 3 short, a couple long etc then stopping.
Now it's gone into psycho mode.
It just keep beeping at the same speed really quickly.
Some bloody idiot must have tried to have a look since the last time I did.
MEH!
It's possible the processor has become dislodged, although I'm not sure what pattern of beeps if any that would produce.
a) Your processor has moved slightly
b) A card is incorrectly inserted into its port.
c) You've blown your motherboard.
Or it could be a PSU problem?
