Dammit! Now you tell me, I just took politics and philosophy!

But seriously, may I remind all of you who are 'dissing' philosophy that it is a fundamental underpinning of civilization in that it forms the underpinning of political systems and advanced thought in an artistic sense. Philosophy isn't just about sitting in a chair, stroking a long white beard in a Greek toga and saying ''you can never step in the same river twice..eh!? Eh!?''. Science is of course extremly important in the modern world, but deep thought, even if it leads nowhere, is a fundamental aspect of what makes us human. And just because it doesn't always have a practical or physical output doesn't make it 'bs'. Nor does the fact that it doesn't fit precise laws and measurements, which in science are frequently replaced with new improved theories.

It's not meaningless at all. You seem to think that it's some kind of anti-science. It's nothing like that. I'm very cynical and will only believe in something once there is scientific proof, but I still enjoy philosophy and find it interesting.
