"Doubts about Underworld"

I initially had my doubts about this. Romeo & Juilet with vamps and werewolves? Hm. But then I saw the trailer and decided it was class. And Kate Beckinsale prancing around in Trinity gear can't be bad.

Then Fat Geeek Harry "Matrix Reloaded should've had real vampires and werewolves" Knowles slams it on Ain't It Cool. Which normally wouldn't bother me, because he can't even write a decent revieww. But then three similiar reviews from seperate people appear on there. So I begin to get doubtful. Then I was driving back from the gym about 20 minutes ago and I heard James King say it was "Buffy or Angel without the characters or humour" and "Trying to be Matrix meets Blade and achieving neither". So now I'm thinking it'll be crap, because the best thing going about Buffy and Angel are their characters and humour.

I'm supposed to be going to see this tomorrow, but now I'm thinking I'll see if The Hard Word is showing yet.

Yeah, but then I realised that it wasn't real, and Bros are still alive and free to make and record music.

I thought both Blade movies were quality, and you must have liked it when that guy from Bros got nailed.

I liked that about him.

They were crap. Cliched and rubbish in every way. And Wesley Snipes is a dull, boring superhero. Like Luther Van Dross in a cape.

Right, I think I'll abandon reading Aint It Cool. Never knew he was THAT bad.

It *should* be a good film, but somehow I doubt I'm going to enjoy it that much. The special effects from the trailers look pony, and I hated blade and Blade 2, which is what this reminds me of. Another Dog Soldiers type film is very welcome though.

Everyone hated the Hulk but I loved it. I'll make up my own mind whether Vamps vs Lycans is good or bad. It depends who they pitch it too. Dog Soldiers was taken seriously enough to make it a fun film that didn't take itself too seriously; if that makes sense. Blade 2 was awesome. A film in the jokey style of Buffy would be dreadful as I hate these teen films where everyone is making funnies.

I'm rambling and need foodd.
