I initially had my doubts about this. Romeo & Juilet with vamps and werewolves? Hm. But then I saw the trailer and decided it was class. And Kate Beckinsale prancing around in Trinity gear can't be bad.

Then Fat Geeek Harry "Matrix Reloaded should've had real vampires and werewolves" Knowles slams it on Ain't It Cool. Which normally wouldn't bother me, because he can't even write a decent revieww. But then three similiar reviews from seperate people appear on there. So I begin to get doubtful. Then I was driving back from the gym about 20 minutes ago and I heard James King say it was "Buffy or Angel without the characters or humour" and "Trying to be Matrix meets Blade and achieving neither". So now I'm thinking it'll be crap, because the best thing going about Buffy and Angel are their characters and humour.

I'm supposed to be going to see this tomorrow, but now I'm thinking I'll see if The Hard Word is showing yet.

Haven't seen Snatch. I would never see a film with that name, based on the fact that I still have a small amount of dignity left. Still, that'll be gone soon, I imagine. Snatch, here I come....

See why I don't like the name?

The love story plays sod all part in it. I don't think it's even a love story per se. Much more fun watching Vin from Snatch trying to be hard.

As soon as I heard Underworld would be "vampires vs werewolves love story" I knew it would be utter, utter rubbish. Plus the fact that they can't even make the trailers look good.

Weaving is funny in Priscilla: Queen of the Desert.

Plus the fact every line is delivered in a husky voice apparantly. When I first heard about it I thought it looked good. Now, not so good. A similar thing happened with League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen (which at least looks as if it has good action scenes.) Oh well....

ROTK is guaranteed to be cool (unless you hate the first two films or LOTR in general)

Revolutions I think will be class, if just for Hugo Weaving and the fact I love the Matrix films :)

Speaking of which, If you want to see another good Hugo Weaving film, track down "Proof", "The life of a blind photographer (Weaving) who is looked after by a housekeeper is disrupted by the arrival of an agreeable restaurant worker (Russell Crow)"

An excellent and very moving film.

I always thought it looked a bit crap, and upon seeing Film 2003 my suspicions proved correct.
It just looks like it's trying too hard to be cool and flashy, but I don't really buy into that anymore. We've had The Matrix, we've had Blade, and we've had many other films like that since. All style over substance.

I'm sure geeks and goth types will love it though, and frankly they can have it.

How can they mess up a movie that badly? The premise has enough potential to deliver a gore laden action fest if nothing else. Hmm expectations are suitably lowered.

So I've got ROTK and Revolutions to cling on to...please be good please be good.

It looks *ok*. I have heard that the cgi wearwolves are naff, theres very little action and the acting in general is poor. The love story is sort of tacked on too, and makes little sense.

Still, I'll be watching it at some point, and if it entertains me, fair enough. I'm not expecting a lifechanging experience however.
