I'm considering going away for a long weekend at the end of October but I'm not sure of where to go in Europe. I've been to London, Barcelona, Munich, Salzburg, Stockholm and Copenhagen before, and I'd like to try somewhere new. Has there been anywhere you've enjoyed going that you'd suggest?

For some strange reason I absolutely adore Austria... It is an amazing little country. Infact I have never even skiid there before its gorgeous in the summer. Salzburg is absolutely amazing! But Insbruk not bad either.
As for Venice. I have heard mixed opinions. To some is a gorgeous romantic city... To others it is a floating sewage dump and the smell is grotesque ( I never went I chose Verona and saw Romeo and Juliets pad instead)
