I was just wondering whether anyone else had ever heard or listened to...or maybe even liked some of the music I listen to?

Now I love my music and I have no preference in particular. My taste varies from old skool to punk but anyway..

...Well there my american R and B bands not many people I know of listen to because they wouldn't know who they are

Johny Lee Hooker (i love blues and this is the man that put the B un Blues)
Sarah McLachlan - A kind of country voice (she did lovely song in film city of angels???)

And other stuff I love is mostly Toni Braxton and Sade and Punk like Blink 182, Foo fighters, The white stripes and stuff...

OOO and I always up for a bit of Drum n Base baby yeeeeaaa!

Yep, I'm sure someone pointed a gun at your head and forced you to listen to it until your eardrums ruptured. Shut up.

There were only 144 episodes, and in episode 98 she was beaten into a comatose sta...I'll stop now.

Yeah, I can see how mock the show, but you DO make sweeping generalisations about the fans. I'm not a fat goth, I've never attended a convention, I don't spend endless hours discussing it's merits. I do, however, have a few mates, both girls and blokes, who are perfectly normal and who like the show.

Thing is, I don't mock people for liking it, I mock the show itself.
I can't understand this slavish devotion (from most fans) to what appears to be a Dawson's Creek with pisspoor CGI effects and rubber masks.
And the bloke from the Nescafe advert.

Spin-off series, trading cards, dolls and conventions with fat lonely goth chicks orbiting other mutants desperately wanting to discuss Episode 154 where Buffy couldn't have exorcised the hell-badger because in episode 98, it was explained that she couldn't see them etc etc.

Sci-fi, bad teen sci-fi, clogs the airwaves and what galls me, what makes me glad I don't watch this stuff is that people think it actually matters in life.

Ok, sure, keep that opinion. Wasn't saying you were one of the Buffy-hating crew that like to spray their stupid opinion over every thread even mentioning it.

I like the show for what it is. I'm not a goth, I don't watch it just for the girls in it. I like the plot, I like the humour. I think it stands above the other US shows that get imported en-masse. And I'm fine with your opinion, if you don't always shout it when I want to actually chat about the show. I take the mick out of myself liking it from time to time, as I do for being beardy, and you know I take most jokes about me good heartedly from you, Blank e.t.c.

But I've had enough of idiots like Borat and their Buffy hate campaigns.

Fair enough Stryke. I take it you've recived alot of stick for likeing Buffy? I'm lucky enough that a few of my friends do enjoy the show. Those that don't just don't say much about it.

How about Buffy is crap because it's a syndicated attempt at snagging fat gothic chicks that think vampires are "sexy" and "cool", throws in a bit of t and a for the blokes and is as vapid as a show can get?

I don't hate it because it's a girly show for geeks and virgins, I hate it because it's yet another weekly ode to the mundane.

That sounded a tad harsh Stryke. I think Borat only ment it in a humorus way. Not taking a big direct swipe at Buffy but a general slight joke mocking. The use of :D made me think that its not to be taken as an insult but a general light hearted comment.

For the record I too am a Buffy fan.
