Okay, so who's going to watch this tonight? (ITV, 9pm) I'd say I will.

I like both the Rush Hours, and M:I-2. Why? Because they're harmless fun. It's not like they were aiming to be Hong Kong martial arts film classics, they were aiming to be popcorn blockbuster aimless hour and a half of fun films. And they are. So it's all good, really.

It's funny really, who the likes of John Woo, Jackie Chan, Chow Yun-Fat etc go to Hollywood and balls up their once great careers.

John Woo:
Previous classics: A Better Tomorrow, The Killer, Hard Boiled, Bullet in the Head.
Goes to America and makes: Hard Target, Broken Arrow, Blackjack (where Dolph Lundgren's character has a phobia of the colour white), MI2, Windtalkers.

Jackie Chan:
Previous classics: Police Story 1, 2, 3, Project A 1 & 2, Operation Condor, Armour of God, The Young Master.
Goes to America and makes: Rush Hour 1 & 2, Shanghai Noon/Knights, The Tuxedo, The Medallion. The one decent exception to the rule here is Cannonball Run.

Chow Yun-Fat:
Previous classics: A Better Tomorrow, The Killer, Hard Boiled, City on Fire.
Goes to America and makes: The Replacement Killers, Anna and the King, The Corruptor, Bulletproof Monk.

*sigh*

Me like Thadie, she purdy.

Film sucked harder than a hooker gobbing a manhood made out of lemons.

Of course I meant "unintentionally funny films I've ever seen". It was crap really, but it made me laugh so all is forgiven.

This film is one of the most unintentionally films I've ever seen. Next to Bulletproof Monk, of course. I just love the bits where he rolls around, when he could have ducked and run, or even crawled in half the time. And when he punches people and it knocks them out stright away - Tom Cruise is a midget, he wouldn't even reach their necks! Roll on MI:3!

This scene bordered on the point of unrealism. A man can't take a hard kick in the face and get up again to fight, without having a broken nose or a fractured skull.
