But I've always wondered how the T-1000 and now the T-X got through. Surely they're not covered by organic material? It's just poncy liquid metal. Pah. Someone (MoJo, probably) explain this to me. And they can't argue that time-travel was improved, because the humans had won and they blew up the equipment after Reese and Arnie were sent back.
Which doesn't explain how the T-1000 and T-X were sent back, and how an Arnie model killed John Connor even after the humans had won...Hmm...
I've lost the point of my post now. Just explain. Please.

"It's the T 1000, he's come to kill us"
"I'm a Terminator from the future, where you've starred in many, many Terminator films. Don't sign up for any more"
"Too late, I'm the Terminator from T18, *Enter crappy plot here* you need to stop yourself from enterring any more Termiantor films"
"Too late, I'm the Terminator from T26, *Enter another crappy plot here* You must stop yourself from the rest of these films!!"
"ARGH!!!"
*Sarah Connor picks up gun and kills present Terminator"
"Well done, you stopped the rest of the Terminator films, but I'm the Arnold from Kindergarten Cop 14, where you are my co-star"
"ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!"

That really is quite funny.

I'll be Mozart!!
*sighs after failure*
The first two films, what they were doing right then was making the future the way it was. John Connor was born and beat the machines BECAUSE the machines sent a Terminator back, which meant Reese was sent back.
In T3, suddenly what they had done in T2 had changed the future, and what they were doing in T3 was re-arranging it. It made me sick.
As for the T-1000 going back in time... a wizard did it. Anytime you see anything like that, it was a wizard.
Arnie was offered the role of Kyle but insisted "I'll be Bach!"
Bada bing
Um time travel heh? Um maybe they've (machines and men) built several time machines as the main requirement is the availability of energy, not technology. The early version of the time machine that both use required that living flesh passed through. The humans then kept this design for future time machines as they didn't have the ability to create a new type; the machines on the other hand refined the existing machine design to allow complete non-organic entities to pass through the time vortex. Hence in T2 and T3, humans send back "organic" terminators and the machines "metal" ones.
They weren't written together so you will always get some little loose ends.
