These masterminds have created such on-line worlds like msn and the zone. The zone... the best place to play on-line games on the web!! People who made the great zone.com are obviously no slouches when it comes down to web design so when (not if) the time comes for the x-box going on-line, we will have these people designing the on-line world and I back them 100% that they will create something that is one of a kind.
Microsoft are no slouches when it comes to games, they created, in my opinion, one of the greatest games of all time and that is the Age Of Empires series. This is a fantastic game on its own without looking at the on-line compatabilities. The only bad part is that damn lag but with the x-box, lag will be a thing of the past so this might persuade registered zone members who get sick of the lag to purchase the x-box just for this feature alone.
They have also created great games such as crimson skies, motorcross madness and midtown madness.
I wouldnt be surprised to see the introduction of a windows style user system being introduced where you will be able to word process and maybe create web sites using microsofts frontpage which I have used in the past and will use again in the future.
This, like it or not, will be the future for consoles turning them into a cross between consoles and PC's and I for one couldnt be happier. Imagine a portable PC with great games like Age of Empires with top class graphics.
Ahhhhh the graphics :). To the best of my knowledge, I believe that nVIDIA are providing the graphics card in the form of their dominant GeFORCE 2. I am lucky enough to have this chipset in my computer and I have to say that I have never seen graphics like it, especially on games such as Kingpin: Life of Crime and Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption the graphics are quite overwhelming.
After reading this I think you will agree that the x-box failing is highly unlikely.

Sony didn't need previous console experience or a particularly good piece of kit - they had enough cash to push its machine so far down everyones throats it completely overwhelmed the competition.
Now that the big bucks of Microsoft are on the way we're in for a very big advertising battle. The mass market public will buy what they're told to buy (which is why the Dreamcast is bowing out). The previous success of the PS1 will probably initially swing the market in favour of Sony but that doesn't mean it'll come out on top.
Lets hope Nintendo has plenty of cash left over from the Pokemon craze - surely they will learn their lesson from Sega's problems and splash out on the advertising side because no matter how good the machine and games are it's the only way it's going to be a success.

> But still if you ask people the N64 and PSX is still played.
And the xbox won't have great games??? every console has some great games!

First... experience. Microsoft has far more experience than sony had when they entered the market with the PSX. To begin, they have done a huge survey of games players. From this they have picke up on the smallest things. For example, gamers like long controller cords, so the Xbox controller wires are 9 feet long! Also, DC and PS2 gamers complained about the noise the machines make when they are running games... as a result Microsoft have packed the Xbox with sound insulators, and hence the large size. Obviously, Microsoft have also taken bigger ideas into account. Consoles play GAMES... and that's what's important. So Microsoft bought up bungie and converted companies like Oddworld inhabitants onto the Xbox. The list may not be huge, but I have no doubt people like EA are on the Xbox simply beause they know It will have greaty advertising!
Now, the actual console. One thing microsoft learnt from the launc of the PSX is that developemrs will only help u if umake the console easy to develope for, and provide great resources. Having made the DC's OS, microsoft have based the Xbox on an even better known and supported system- Direct X, which allows direct access to the hardware!
Anyway... enought ranting...
What will make or break the Xbox is NOT microsoft's experience- they have done more customer surveys and testing than Sony ever did on the PSX... the thing that will make or break the console is the GAMES. Like the Gamecube, not many titles have been announced, but I would expect at the very least may American companies like EA to get on board. MS have also set up a Japanese base, where they are supporting companies like Sega, Namco, and possibly Square.
Like all things, only time will tell- but from what I've seen, the future of the x box is bright. Even if the games suck, people will buy it due to the advertising alone anyway!
