Er...no he didn't because I didn't click on it.

I've got a firewall at work which sends an auto warning to "cease and desist" from attempting to visit banned sites.

Did you even read my last post?

Having a firewall at work precludes me from this kind of nonsensical stuff. Which can only be a good thing.

Well apart from what Hedfix said, the reason I posted in the thread to begin with was to reply to Unbeliever's post. Then somebody replied to me, so I replied back again.

It's chat. That's how it works. You're never going to stop people posting in any threads because a chat forum is what this place IS. By posting something on here you leave it open to everybody, which is the whole point. And even if people do post in a thread that's directly aimed at someone else, does it really harm you in any way? You might even enjoy some of them, you never know.

Why not? Show me one thread that's been addressed to one particular user that hasn't been "gatecrashed" by others and I'll stand corrected.

It's expected on a chat forum. Deal with it.

I have to say that it was easier to notice the thread because all of the posts kept it high on the first page rather than let it sink. :)

That's not what I said now is it?

My point is, a topic directly posted to a particular user shouldn't be weighed down by nonsensical posts from bored people.

Not only post in specific threads but why post in threads that are for 1 user?

But if we all just posted in topics that were directly related to or aimed at us we wouldn't get anywhere. This place would be lonely and boring and you'd never get to know anyone.

Like you said, you still got your answer. You would still have got it had there been a thousand replies.

It's just crushingly dull how people will just crash a thread and then bleat "But it's a chat forum"
And again, go look in customer service to see gurning bennys posting anywhere without thought whether it had anything to do with them at all.

*shrugs*
I've got my answer so I'm happy, you lot have to wake up being you tomorrow.
My sympathies.
