Let us hope they don't go and make a complete pigs ear out of this. It's one of my all time most anticipated films. Please don't screw it up!

been reading up and a third predator film seems a possibility too. no-one has decided on a plot, but I'd be eager to see what they have in store, especially if arnie is back.

Ooh. The second game absoloutely rocked ma socks.

I'm not sure how the film would work. And I wouldn't watch it, being terrified of those alien beasties.

The game was bad enough!

perhaps I'm in a minority but I though soldier was ok. it was made like the old cult classics escape from new york/LA, with the same sort of atmosphere and the like. IIf it'd been released 10 years earlier it'd have done a lot better, but with all our modern effects and what-ya-call-its, it just didn't cut it.

You're right about the director though, mortal kombat and it's terrible sequel were the worst things I've ever had the misfortune to come into contact with.

not seen resident evil although I've heard good things

You can bet this will be an utter balls up. The story itself sounds ridiculous, some humans want to lure some Predators to Antarica so they put some Alien eggs there and there's some fighting. It might not have been so bad, but after watching Resident Evil I can't really see this film being anything more than a special effects laden action yarn, that'll probably be made to cater for a younger audience.

It doesn't bode well.

I can see it being pretty poor. With nice special effects but mindless battles.

Yeah, I heard about ths ages ago, but didn't know who was tagged to direct and write it. Paul Anderson!? Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil. both aimed at the naive 12 year old market. Balls. He did Soldier too, which more or less killed off Kurt Russel.

I've heard a few rumours over the past few months about new Predator films. Firstly there's this one, Aliens vs Predator, then there are a few scripts kicking about for Predator 3. One script has Arnie possibly reprising his role as Dutch, the most kick-ass cinema hero evah, and the other had the Predator appearing on planet earth in the 19th century?!

If Arnie had a decent stab at Predator 3 as Dutch being brought out of retirement to fight a load of invading Predators, that would rule.
