You'd think sony were an untarnished quality name, no? well, compared to the old mercury one i got from SR (which lasted about 2 months) it is as loud as the noise cement makes while it's setting...

so, is there any way i can get earphones that are LOUDER? i mean, the ones they supply are quite shoddy, so can you recommend any earphones to me that you yourself tried and found they were louder then the ones supplied?

... or you could buy a pair of their 'Orpheus' one's which come with their own vavle amp and cost around £6000.

Sennheiser headphones are genius. One of the best makes of Headphone you can get.

If you want 'in-ear' headpohnes, go for the Sennheiser MX 500's ...

If you want 'neckband', try their PMX 60's ...

Or, if you want 'proper' ones, try any of their 400 or 500/600 series depending on your budget ...

i have a sony walkman...so i need more specific recommendations...

unfortunatley the player can't support the four-pin mega bass stuff, so that's a shame because i have heard they're very good...
