Giving it to Coldplay is like opening the door after the horse has bolted. Already famous, don't need an award for an overhyped-as-it-is album. Radiohead are electronica with whining and guitars. Athlete's album hooks you in with good singles and is crap. No idea about Floetry and the comedy jazz and folk options. I'm gonna say The Darkness over Dizzee Rascal because Ms "I fink war is wrong cuz peeps be dyin" Dynamite won last year.

the only songs i like from radiohead are creep and pyramid song. the rest i absolutely hate...

Radiohead - used to be good, then discovered Autechre and Warp and Yorke contracted cancer of the effort. Now can't be bothered with them.

Coldplay - Plodding, one-pace whiny pansy angst for uptight 6ft formers to tape "Yellow" and impress the wan gothy girl of their dreams. If music was an element, Coldplay would be water

The Darkness - Spinal Tap without the jokes.

Mercury Music Prize - M People won a few years back. Tells me all I need to know
