Surely people with psychotic tendancies and who possess both the ability and desire to carry out acts of violence and mayhem, will be drawn to games which allow you to carry out such acts? Its akin to saying that violent films make people violent. No! People who adore violence will adore violent films.

The blame can only land squarely with the parents. I'm a strong advocate of a parenting qualification of some kind, that teaches people how to treat and act around their children, and the children of others.
