Remember the classics of your childhood? I do, Sonic, Toe Jam and Earl...European Club Soccer, most of them were on the Mega Drive but I love Street Fighter on my SNES. Nowadays there are a select few shops in which you can go back and look and even experience what you did all those years ago. But...we do have..

ROMS AND EMULATION

It may be illegal but it's fun and if they made the games and systems anymore then we wouldn't have to do it. I have just downloaded Toe Jam and Earl and Sonic 3D as well as Metroid, I have been playing in them all, I am on this level and sinking deep into the memory bank trying to remember how to get the missile launchers on Metroid, oh the guy gives them to you and you press select...yes! And you remember and It all comes back, I suppose in a way, ,(not trying to be rude) it is like an alhtsimers pill, if there is one, where you go 'back in time' and replay your favourite games, admittedly they don't quite compare with the graphics of today but the gameplay is there and better than ever. The fact that you dont have to stand in awe of the 'Shenmue' type graphics opens you mind up to the gameplay. It doesn't have ace graphics and then it goes into a cut-scene and you didn't think that such an old game would have a cut scene but they do and you stand in awe of that too!

Older games are ace and they are what made gaming what it is today, Although I am a Nintendo fan, Yamauchi has the right Idea, people don't want to buy a load of graphics they watch DVD's and Video's for that they want to control the person and it is the same to this very day, you do it on your phone or on the games on 'Open....' in Sky Digital. You have seen super graphics in a film but nowadays it is very 'Rare' to play such a good game and not have to worry about the graphics. I know I am going on but you can see it too I bet, what you wouldn't give to go back just 1 day and relive the excitement...But of course you can't...the tingles have gone and now the games don't seem as exciting, but the level was bigger than this and I am sure you could have permanent shields as well as the best missiles. You only have 1 childhood and you can only experience games like a child when you are a child....so if you are still young...ie. 11 or 12 or even if you have a brother or Sister that likes games don't stop them from enjoying themselves because enjoying gaming is what has kept the memories of Toe Jam and Earl and Sonic 1 and 2 in your head for so long. It may not be your time now and maybe like me you are too-old for the baby-ish games but remember your childhood with the games that were special to you....do you think we will ever have that again...people never complained about games beeing too chort or too cu-sceney because the gameplay was there in it's full glory...will we ever see even a sparkle of that again or have graphics and pixels taken it away....forever?
