I seen the film at a young age when i was just learning what happened in the war. I thought it was awful and i didnt want to think about it. I objected to watching the film as i didnt like any topic about the war. My mother ordered me to watch it and i loved it. A bunch a awol soldiers led by Kelly (Clint Eastwood) going behind enemy lines to steel gold. It was the start of a craze as i loved the film so much me and my mates would act out parts of the movie.
I now own the video and watch it time and time again and i still laugh!
There are tons of films that I love, but I cannot single out one of them as a favourite!
If you want to know why, I reviewed it a while back so my reasons are pretty evident if you want to read it sometime.
Star Wars: Episode IV
Star Wars: Epsiode V
Star Wars: Episode VI
Star Wars: Episode I
Pulp Fiction
Gladiator
Star Trek First Contact
Full Metal Jacket
Resivoir Dogs
The Matrix
And the list good go on, i have alot of Special Movies, but if i had to pick 1, it would have to be Star Wars: Episode IV, it cam out in the 1977, there was nothing to it`s calibre and i was totaly blown away by it, and it still hold`s as the best Movie experience ever and i don`t think anything else will come close to it again for me, but it will difer for person to person to what their favourite film is, it depends on what they like and how it impacted on them.
For example, Hannibal, I thought the film was ok but not truely great. It's suppose to be a pschological thriller but taking that genre into account it was not exactly that sort. Hence I thought it was not a great film. Taking M:I 2 in comparison. The film was very simple, not exactly the best film but taking what it is suppose to be, an action movie, it is gerat. It's thrilling and exciting so it's made better than Hannibal. Well, personally.
