No, iam not refering to chelsea replacing them as one of the big two, im talking about player nationalities, finally the "oh your all foreigners" tag will go away and find its new rightful throne at highbury, for now Chelsea have more current England internationals than arsenal have english players in their squad, Due to not finding their french passports in time, Franny Jeffers and Pennant have been bunged out on loan, leaving Campbell and cole clinging on, with "Raymond" Palour making up the numbers, who would have thought, only a few years ago your whole back line and keeper were solid brits, but now look.....who's the foreign legion now?

G.neville, P.neville, John O'shea, Scholes, Butt, Giggs....blah

Keenan didn't look too bad in the malaysia cup thing, I think he's homegrown, as did Alexis Nicolas, who although has foreign background, I believe he's homegrown.

How many homegrown's have Man Utd and Arsenal got playing in the first team then?

Not looking great on the homegrown talent front i have to say. NExt younsters with a view to joining the first team are huth and oliveira who ar german and portugese!

If Chelsea really want to seperate themselves from the Arsénals and Liverpools of the modern-game, though, they'll have to start bleeding through some younger players - just like Man United, Leeds and West Ham have been doing for years.

Carlton Cole and John Terry are not enough - despite how potentially-great they may be, with Terry tipped to become "the new Tony Adams".

You're stilling 'buying-in' your Joe Cole's, Frank Lampard's and Wayne Bridge's. Although it's good to see you opting for home-grown talents, I still think you need to add some new faces from within Chelsea FC.

er yes, good to see a high level of football knowledge there. Bridge has started every game, johnson has missed only onee, and he is keeping the dutch international right back out of the team!

Bridge, terry, johnson, lamps are all regulars,and jc usually gets a half and that will only increase with bans and injuries.

Then there's duff, and everyone counts the irish when they talk about british players. (roy keane et al)

Admittedly I'd probably strart veron ahead of lamps but in a 60 game season lamps will get plenty of appearances, nicky butt style but probably more regular.

Lol. Lampard is easily, one of chelsea's best players at the moment. Erm we forgetting Wayne Bridge and Johnson? Both starters recently.
