im looking more to the point that we were put here by others and our earth was scrapped after the dinosaurs. what if we were aliens entertainment or one of their experiments. it seems to me that it would be strange, for so many different looking animals, to be collected together on one planet.
if these thoughts were true, then:
-at any time, our planet could be destroyed or seriously changed by others
-aliens could look quite like us, because if all the animals they gathered have 2 eyes, 2 ears, etc. then...
-we could just be entertainment or an experiment, like the sims, or lab happenings with set surroundings.
-it may explain why things like wasps and mosquitoes exist, when they have no apparent reason to be here and why all the animals except for these are so fitting to the planet. (the aliens could create the correct atmosphere etc.)
I just wrote a big post answering all of Clazon's points, only for the forum to log me out and delete it all!!!!!
Needless to say though Clazon, you're way wrong on all your points!
Plus there is also the issue of whatever it is that wasps eat being more abundant in their absence, which could give more food to certain species, making them more prominent and again disrupting the food chain.
Although it's really difficult to measure these days with the level of destruction humanity has already wrought on the balance, nature is essentially artificial now anyway, and relies on our protection to be maintained.

but how can this happen? how can there be these freak happenings, that dont level the scales?

they dont suffer from malaria, theyre just a transmitter of it. and as for a form of population control, why would something naturally develop to be like that? if this is a controling thing, then surely this proves further that the aliens could be controling the situation.

surely youre overlooking the fact that, we all have eyes, we all have brains, we all have legs, we all have a heart, we all need to eat, we all have a skeleton of some form, we are all either warm or cold blooded, etc. etc. the list goes on and on when it comes to basic similarities.

our planet has been going for millions of years and that may have been a previous experiment. it then was finished and so they wiped it. we still dont know how dinosaurs were wiped out, maybe it was the aliens.
I meant that if you took wasps out and exterminated them all, I don't see what difference it would make to the balance of nature.
But that's just me being a fool and allowing to intense dislike of wasps to cloud my judgement.
They consume, and in turn are consumed by other creatures, usually parasites while alive, and foraging creatures when not. I can only assume that you don't really know much about either wasps or what constitutes a "food chain".
Anything that lives, dies, and hence is a part of the cycle of life.
Why do wasps exist? They're just evil bees. Without the virtues of bees.
Off course, the balance has been broken several times as natural selection has progressed, Sabre-toothed tigers for example, were a breach of the balance and led to their own demise.
What do mosquitoes do? they're a part of the food chain. Prey for several creatures, including the parasite known as Malaria, and they also, in combination with the likes of malaria, form a population control.
