And Gollum/Smeagal is my new favourite character... I was too lazy to read The Lord of the Rings but remember him in The Hobbit. Yep, it was excellent... especially the battle at Helms Deep. I might start reading The Return of the King to see what happens. Although, how annoying is Sam?

I think Treebeard was a bit wrong.

It'sll make a great opener though. The openings to the other two weren't that great.

Yes I agree espescially(sp) when they used Gimli for comedy relief and added in stupid unreal hero moments like Legolas sliding down stairs on a shield. Pointless.

I thought the Gollum CGI was good, but not THAT good. And I have to agree with Mojo that it was a bit pants when he interacted with others. It didn't ruin the film for me though. What ruined the film was the creators taking liberties with the script and adding stupid comedy moments that weren't even funny, plus the accents of the two lesser knwon hobbits. And they were also made out to be stupid, which unless I'm mistaken wasn't in the book either.

If your going to read the return of the king, read the last few chapters of each book (Cause its split in two) First. The movie actually isnt ALL of the Two Towers!
