I might get a PSP because there are a couple of decent games coming out soon for it, but the Xbox 360 is coming out this yea too so the PSP will probably start getting dusty when the new Xbox is released.
Fair enough, it's pretty much PS2 games in your palm, but that's the beauty of it. I'd rather have games of that caliber on the move than anything Nintendo can currently offer.
It's a really cool game, but even I haven't been on my ps2 as much lately. The last game I finished on it was the stunning Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith.
I have always preferred the ps2 over the others, but I own them all. I have the most games for my ps2, but on my gamecube and xbox, I have about 10 decent games on each.
I think it's just due to the fact that sony are a great asset to the gaming business, and always have the lead in the console industry.
Xbox could be likely to take over though, but I'm sticking to my ps2, and with the next gen consoles coming out, I might just wait for the price drops, as the release price for the xbox 360 is 400 quid alone. I hate to think how much the ps3 will cost, but they both look decent.
Anyway, that's my view on the matter. There are just too many playstation fans out there, and if there was no competition between gaming companies, then we would probably be stuck with un-original, boring, linear titles, so I think there will always be a fair share of fans between the 3 main consoles; PS2, Xbox, and gamecube. It's just the way it goes.

It's become the most successful due to it having the widest range of games, and also the most universal selection of games.
