sparked off by lord kugai (, nobish, kumquat, etc.) who says he has an IQ of 131 and use this as a base to every "insult" he gave out. some people take IQ ratings highly and some disregard. i know that my IQ is well above average, but i dont use it to say im smarter than everyone else. i just wanted to know roughly what the intelligence of the forums are...

*note:
1)you are at your peak at around about 22-25.
2)90-100 is an average IQ
3)different ages, have different marking systems. (ie. 120 at 24 will be say 10 questions correct, where as for a 60 year old it will be 8 questions right.

Everyone gets a bit shy though, hope I didn't offend you with my comments. How old are you?
I get shy with meeting new people, I can never think of what to say to start a conversation, and I've never really mastered the art of "mingling".
Even though I know my mates and used to play tennis and stuff outside my house with them, I spent a few weeks indoors without going out at all and was shy to go back out with them for some reason. That's what I'm like.

Why are they bad?
Your IQ doesn't technically tell you whether you are smart or not. If you put someone with an IQ of 150-ish on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire it doesn't mean they stand any better a chance as your IQ doesn't test your general knowledge. I only have an IQ of 126 (I'm 15 years old) but I am doing 5 Highers this year in S5 I don't know the English equivalent but that's very good on my part.
I'm generally clever even if I don't know what my IQ is. If I took a test, I think it'd be high or average, but communication and social skills are very bad.
Mines 125 Don't rate IQ's much though doesn't give a very good entire picture of someones intelligence. Who cares if its not really high anyway? you could have the highest IQ but if you have no communication skills or social skills generally, you'll never get on in life. Thats what counts the most. Thats what I think anyway.
I got 144 but the timing was wrong because my mother interrupted me for a few minutes, but it wouldn't have changed my score much.
