Yes, the debacle that was the blackout struck me down with extreme vehemence and left me a gasping shell of a man watching the carnage, chaos and despair of other commuters as they were stranded in a world of madness.
My rage was only confined by the boundaries of my mortal body. If I could have flung myself in the path of a train, I would have. Except i would have just fallen down and sprained my ankle rather than hope for an end to the tragic and despicable city that is London.
I eventually got home after 11.00pm. Too tired to care or to be angry, I flopped into bed and floated into another world.
This morning I was quite calm. However, I was plunged into a black venomous anger when the tube didn't stop at my designated stop due to a "fire hazard". So I had to change and change again until I finally got to another stop and walked from there.
Why oh why are bloody ticket prices going up when the service is getting worse?
SOMEONE TELL ME.
> I have a train-travel story that makes last night pale in comparison.
So have I. Want me to post it for you?
> Who are you angry at?
Exactly. It's like an act of god. No-one is to blame, so getting out your tree is a bit extreme. Just accept that it happened with humour and move on. I have a train-travel story that makes last night pale in comparison.
I think I must be on the verge of some type of a mid-life crisis. Even though I'm only 25...
First up, I wasn't like one of these gormless mong who walked around shouting "It's a terrorist threat!"
Secondly I got home well after 11.00pm - over 5 hours later on a journey that should have taken an hour.
Do you see why I'm angry?
... and err - there was a blackout? Missed this better go find some news.
> Welcome to commuter-in-London life.
Welcome to it? I've been doing it for 7 long and bloody years!
