I did.

Yes, the debacle that was the blackout struck me down with extreme vehemence and left me a gasping shell of a man watching the carnage, chaos and despair of other commuters as they were stranded in a world of madness.

My rage was only confined by the boundaries of my mortal body. If I could have flung myself in the path of a train, I would have. Except i would have just fallen down and sprained my ankle rather than hope for an end to the tragic and despicable city that is London.

I eventually got home after 11.00pm. Too tired to care or to be angry, I flopped into bed and floated into another world.

This morning I was quite calm. However, I was plunged into a black venomous anger when the tube didn't stop at my designated stop due to a "fire hazard". So I had to change and change again until I finally got to another stop and walked from there.

Why oh why are bloody ticket prices going up when the service is getting worse?

Aye, but i had pretty much a full tank of petrol so i could keep the engine running most of the night. Although i had no idea how long i would be out there so i had to keep turning off the engine to conserve petrol and turned it back on when it started getting cold in the car.

I was more concerned with taking a pee to be honest with you! Luckily i passed a Tesco's and bought some supplies as i had no food on me.

Just seen on the news that a pile of people spent the night on ferries after a bomb warning closed one of the channel ports, bet that was fun :P

Thats nothing. No really. When it snowed earlier in the year i was stuck for 13 hours on the motorway for a journey that usually takes half an hour. Got home at about 6am when i should have got home before 6pm.

Well done Unbeliever, tis a brave deed sir.
I've never quite managed to get into a rumble on the tube but I remember that I came close to a kicking once. I was at Baker St station and as i got on the escalators to go up, a bunch of thuggish louts go onto the down bit. Now usually the law of the jungle says "you're out numbered and therefore don't make eye contact and don't make smart remarks". I was, however very very drunk.

What happened was almost like a dream: I was so sloshed that i was almost blacking out every 10 seconds and only had a vague comprehension of what I was doing. Thus I got onto the escalator, 15 seconds of non-memory and I regain awareness at the top as I realise I'm hurling abuse at the gang of thugs who are hurling abuse at me.

What occurred on the escalator is something I'll never know but I'd love to find out.

I got the tube back from Camden last week, on the Central line. A mate an I got on a carraige near the end and were horrified to see it was packed to the brim with... pikeys, frankly. And drunk pikeys at that. There were about three blokes with bottles of vodka in their hands, obviously ratted and with no top on, leering at the girls and chatting them up. There was a leathery middle aged woman at the end smoking a fag and looking to all the world like she was on an acid trip. There were about 4 or 5 teenage mums all with kids in pushchairs, and these kids all had loud party equipment like squeaker horns and whistles. From Camden to Mile End, where they all got off, it was a non-stop ride of constant noise, bickering, yelling, wailing, leering and general pikey behaviour - one even offered his seat to my mate and tried to charge him for sitting down.

When they all got off, like some huge extended family, the rest of the carraige breathed a huge sigh of relief. Bloody Mile End gypos.
