Is it possible to have ADSL and a 56k dial up on one phone line. I want to put a 56k dial up on my laptop and keep my adsl on my desktop. Is it possible without getting another Phone line installed?

Yes, because ADSL is in addition to your phone line and your phone line can still be used when ADSL is in use. When you get ADSL you have to put filters into every phone socket, you put a filter on the socket that you currently use, put a phone splitter on (to allow two things to be plugged into one socket) and then connect your laptop and broadband to that phone splitter.
