"Tottenham expect to sign Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson in a three million pound deal before the transfer window closes on sunday."

Yay what a bargain, three million for something like the third best goalie in the Premiership after Carlo and maybe Freidel.

"Spurs manager Glenn Hoddle wants the England squad man to put pressure on USA keeper Kasey Keller. To accomodate the deal, Hoddle will offload Neil Sullivan this week TO CHELSEA"

What? Robbo reserve to Keller that's man. Sad to see Sully go but with two top class goalies i don't think he will be missed. TO CHELSEA don't they have enough bloody keepers? All better than Neil Sullivan.

This could be a good move for Sully, he could really revive his career at Chelski, as number two to Cudicini, who could well get injured this year. This is also good news for old Nigel Martyn too, seeing that he could now come back on form if Robbo moves- he'll then be no.1 keeper, and could restart his flagging career.

I had forgotten about Nigel Martyn, i have no idea if he is still at Leeds or not :s

Ofcourse Danny Mills also recently went to 'Boro... i dunno where Leeds go from here, but back to Robinson... he still has all the potential to become Englands 1st choice keeper, i would prefer Robinson in goal for me instead of David James any day of the week.

I wouldnt read too much into that... Hoddle has never revealed anyone he is interested in until the deal is done and dusted... theres a bit of cat and mouse here, im sure Robinson will leave Leeds soon, im still hopeful it will be Birmingham he joins, theres one thing Birmingham can offer Robinson and thats the guarentee of first team football (our only weakness is in goal) if Robinson wants first team football over wages then maybe Birmingham still might get lucky :)

Well i can tell you one thing, Robinson is a superb top class keeper that would make a fantastic 1st choice for perhaps 18 of the 20 Premiership clubs, im amazed that Arsenal didnt try to get him (maybe they did and failed?) Robinson has been one of the best keepers around in English soccer for a few seasons now, whoever manages to sign him will have gotten themselves one heck of a goalie and £3 million is a complete steal.

Where will Leeds go from here if Robinson leaves? who is Leeds 2nd choice keeper at the moment? its a total shame really but its certainly hard times up at Elland road and it just goes to show how a major club can fall from grace in such a short time.

Newspaper reports that we are set to buy Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson are untrue. No offer has been made.

Well i must be honest and say that when he turned down a move to Villa and a chance to team up with O'leary again i was surprised.

That looked like an indication to me that maybe he was thinking over a better offer... maybe it was Hoddles offer he was pondering over.

I think i am correct after hearing this. I had heard rumours in the past about him wanting to move to spurs and having heard this i think it's the 'real deal'.

Im hoping you are wrong (but i fear that you are correct) because Ray Clemence has been watching Robinson for quite a while now and reporting back to Steve Bruce with his findings... i was under the impression that Birmingham were also about to table a bid for the shot-stopper but i guess we'll wait and see.
