The film was quite engaging, the acting was terrific and the script was good, for a hollywood effort. However the film is far far far too short. 117 minutes. Come on that's not much longer than a bloomin episode of ER, in fact it could have been an episode of any drama show, with a little trimming here and there.

I did wonder how they could sustain the concept for two hours. They didn't bother and just finished the film when it was getting interesting.

Dolts.

I don't like the Odean as much anymore, but only because the UGC is so much spacier, when I went to see LOTR: The Two Towers there were no seats left at the UGC, so we went to the Odean and ended up at the front, with the most uncomfortable amount of leg space ever, although I could put them (my legs) up on the ledge in front, buit it was still uncomfortable. And there was a kid reciting what was going to happen next behind me, which made me QUITE unhappy.

That was the last time I went to the Odeon. Mind you, I've only seen 3 films since.

I do prefer the Odeon though. Much more lenient when it comes to proving your a student " just flash any card from your wallet at me, so the camera sees it". Plus it's an older cinema with a bit of history. But the main reason is that it has less neds.

I think they built a bigger one in the US last year.

But at least it's cheaper than the Odean down the street, even if the Odean gives you about 8 times as much popcorn for the same price.

Tallest in the world according to the plaque from the Guiness book of Records that is on a pillar in the foyer.

The UGC in Glasgow is the tallest cinema in Europe, which means: Loads of headheight. Fanbloodytastic it is.

I still really enjoyed phone booth. I saw it on opening day in the UGC in Glasgow. It is a big screen, 750 or so I think. And it was packed. I was on the back row in a corner. At about 110 minutes the bladder started staging a coup against the large coke. Had it been longer I would have had to climb over 20 people to get out and then have missed the end.

Perfect length!

Commando, starring Arnie was only 65 minutes long. I think.

I'd agree that it was short but I'm sure there are shorter films.

As for making Phone Booth longer, yeah, I would have enjoyed that but I'm just happy that what we have got didn't get ruined by padding it out with potential rubbish and ruining the film.

The DVD for the original Planet of the Apes had the Statue of Liberty on it!

Halloween H20 was shorter. And that's even worse because it has a stupid title. If you didn't abbreviate it it would be Halloween Halloween Twenty.
