But do you all not remember when it was horrible?
It looked ugly, like a radiator? Everyone other than SR it seems is trying to make it look more than what it is - I praise you like I should SR.
I've just been to another website (up late this morning/up early last night...?) and they make it look like a kind of all powerful alien spaceship - perhaps that's what it is! But seriously, I think these people are trying to compensate for the fact that not many games are living up to expectations so far in terms of gameplay and visual effects - the 'eye candy' just ain't sweet enough yet, so we have to be hypnotised....brainwashed....
Anyway, I don't want you all to think I amm anti PS2 - heavens no, I wouldn't waste my time. It's just I think I am right about what is going on...
Insomnia rules!
And just to remind everyone, GameCube's European release will be early 2002.
NINTENDO HQ-LATE 2002
Nintendo boss (I always for get his name): We have to launch the GameCube now!!
Nintendo worker: Sorry sir, we have to delay it 'til next year.
Boss: Why the hell is that??
Worker: We're adding finishing touches.
Boss: Like what??
Worker: We're changing the shape of the handle, sir.

Prove me wrong,
> Sony....
Do you really want Sony to prove you wrong??
Or perhaps they could prove you wrong, and take the price down to £199 in August.
Prove me wrong, Sony....
If I didn't already have one, that is!
But website marketing is always a little on the 'desperate' side, because ebusiness has only just taken off, and they have the advantage of being able to dress products up with snazzy graphics and great reviews, because they know that the majority of people who are buying products from them are missing out on the 'touchy feelie' factor, people still like to handle the goods before buying to get a sense of the quality.
With the websites, they lose out on this important selling technique, and therefore compenstate. It's a bit like reading the back of a computergame box to get an idea of the game, but you won't really know for sure until you've played it for a good half hour or so whether it is any good.
So whilst I don't condone websites for doing all they can to sell a product, they do, from time to time, go over the top. Witness the woman who recently purchased a PS2 from one of the auction sites, only to receive an empty PS2 box, which is what in fact she had been unwittingly bidding for.
And yes, insomnia ru...zzzzzzzzzzzzz
